QLD:Bligh not worried about fall in popularity
Queensland Premier ANNA BLIGH isn't concerned about the latest poll showing her popularity
is continuing to plummet while her opponent's appeal climbs.
Ms BLIGH says she's prepared for a tight contest against the Liberal National Party's
CAMPBELL NEWMAN.
The former Brisbane lord mayor has the backing of 55 per cent of voters as preferred
premier compared to 38 per cent support for Premier ANNA BLIGH in the Galaxy Poll published
in The Courier-Mail today.
Ms BLIGH says she expects the contest to get closer and closer as the time for the
election, due in March, approaches.
The LNP's 63 per cent to 37 per cent lead on a two-party preferred basis would leave
Labor with just 10 seats.
