Last week the Victorian Supreme Court in Melbourne sentenced DOROTHY MARIE SKURA toseven years' jail after she admitted to one count of incitement to murder.
But GERRY SKURA has told New Idea magazine that despite the evidence and his wife'sconfessions, he's forgiven her.
He says his wife's actions were an extraordinary cry for help.
Originally from Canada, GERRY and MARIE SKURA moved to Melbourne in 2001 so GERRY couldtake up a new position with his company.
A homesick MARIE began indulging in affairs, drinking heavily and nurturing a gamblingaddiction that eventually stripped their bank accounts of nearly $60,000.
She was arrested after she arranged to pay an undercover police officer $25,000 tokill her husband in March this year.
GERRY and MARIE's daughter through a previous relationship are back in Canada workingto have MARIE transferred to a Canadian prison.
