QLD: Poll tips Labor win in by elections

BRISBANE, Jan 15 AAP - Queensland Premier Peter Beattie will retain control of the
government with Labor set to win two crucial by-elections on February 5, according to
the latest public opinion poll.

The poll by CM Research for The Courier Mail newspaper today showed Labor winning 49
per cent of the primary vote in Woodridge and 46 per cent in Bundamba.

The Liberals had 16 per cent in Woodridge and 11 per cent in Bundamba.
