NSW: Human error, poor communication blamed for prison release

SYDNEY, Jan 11 AAP - Poor communication between court officials and human error weretoday blamed for the early release of a prisoner still due to face an attempted murdercharge.

Paul Dennis Etienne, 30, was inadvertently released from Sydney's Silverwater Jailon December 21 after a paperwork bungle.

Etienne is now on the run for a second time after he eluded court officers and jumpedthe dock during a hearing at Central Local Court on November 15.

Corrective Services Minister Richard Amery today released an interim report into Etienne'srelease and vowed to implement in full …
